Do you accept donations in kind?

Would you like to donate used clothes and other things that are in good condition? We are glad to receive:

  • clothes, blankets, mattrasses
  • children’ clothes / baby clothes
  • shoes (separately packed and marked)
  • tools, sewing machines, washing machines, kitchen equipment
  • wheel chairs, walking frames, glasses
  • chairs and tables
  • sanitary products, sanitary napkins, detergents, pampers
  • wool, yarns, sewing accessories, fabrics
  • knitted material, knitted clothes

Please pack clothes in boxes, not in sacks!

How long is the term for a sponsorship?

Our goal is to support a child to the age of 18. Many children can begin an independent life at that age. But there are exceptions. For example, if a child, due to a handicap or because of professional education is in a need for further support, you will be given notice in due time.

Generally, a sponsorship is terminable at any time. If a sponsorship is cancelled, we look for new sponsors for the child.

Can I send a package to the child I support?

Unfortunately, it is not possible for Bible Mission Germany to deliver pacakges to personal addresses in the respective countries. But we can offer two options:

  • You can pack your package and send it to the responsible field office of Bible Mission. The worker or missionary who is in charge of your child will forward the package to the child. We offer translation if you would like to add a letter to your package. You will receive the address of our field office on inquiry. However, please note that we do not recommend this option, since experience has shown that package delivery per post is not always reliable and making an insurance for your package is quite expensive.
  • We forward your request to the worker / missionary who cares for your child. He/she will purchase the content of the package according to your request and bring it to your child on your behalf. You cover the costs for the content of the package by fund transfer to our account. You can send us a personal letter for translation which we will forward with the package. This option is most commonly used, because often the content of the package is less expensive to buy on the ground and there is no need to pay shipping costs.

Is it possible, in addition to the regular monthly support of 30 Euro to send more donations for the child I support?

Yes, we offer the opportunity of supporting your child with special donations. Some of our supporters use special occasions for special donations, like Christmas, birthday of the child etc. It’s best to send your donation per fund transfer to the account you use for the support of your child. Make sure you indicate the designation of your gift by writing the registration number of your child sponsorship and, if you wish, the occasion/purpose of your donation.

An alternative option is to take a sponsorship for another child. That way, you contribute to the distribution of the Gospel and help one more family to hear the Good News. There are many children we are looking to find sponsors for.
